Visiting International Faculty
Welcome to Colorado College. As an institution of higher education we take seriously our role in enhancing global understanding through an international curriculum of the highest caliber, and through the development of meaningful relationships with people from other parts of the world. We treasure your contributions toward the international vision of Colorado College. The contact you have with students, inside and outside of the classroom, as well as with faculty and staff, open our minds to new ideas and cultures in ways that heighten our awareness of global dimensions without leaving campus. The information on these web pages aim to provide you as a new international scholar or visitor to Colorado College with resources and information that will help prepare you before and after your arrival on campus. Please read carefully the information about how to obtain a J1 visa. Also, please visit the resources page where you will find links to orient you to Colorado College and to the city of Colorado Springs. In addition, you will find helpful travel links. If there are websites or resources that have been helpful to you and other Visiting International Faculty, we would be grateful for your input. We encourage you to communicate with your faculty host about your travel plans and with any concerns you may have. The Office of International Programs is also a resource for you to answer questions. Please do not hesitate to contact and to visit us in Gill House when you arrive on campus. |
"As the world becomes more deeply connected, intercultural understanding becomes more and more important. Each of us is truly a citizen of the world, not just of our own country. Actively encouraging diversity and expanding students' global understanding is a valued part of the CC experience." President Richard Celeste
