Description: CC Community Kitchen prepares and serves a free lunch to the hungry and homeless community of Colorado Springs every Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Shove Chapel.

Located in the Basement of Shove Chapel on the CC Campus

The CC Community Kitchen has been in existence in Colorado Springs for the past 16 years and serves a hot meal each Sunday. It was started by a student interest in serving the poor and hungry of Colorado Springs.
Community volunteers are always welcome at the CC Community Kitchen. You are welcome to come for a shift, part of a shift or for the entire day. If you are bringing a group of people to volunteer, please contact the CC Community Kitchen managers first by emailing them at commkitch@coloradocollege.edu or leaving a voice message at 389-6641.
CC Community Kitchen Shifts
• 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. --- Donated Food pick-up
• 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. --- Food preparation and set-up
• 2:00 p.m. -3:30 p.m. --- Serving Food
• 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. --- Clean-up
The CC Community Kitchen operates through a variety of sources. Student
government at Colorado College provides a small amount of support but most of
the funding to purchase staples and meat comes from grants and monetary donations.
