Kevin Holmes

Assistant Professor

Kevin received a B.A. in Human Biology and an M.A. in Psychology from Stanford University in 2005. After earning a Ph.D. in Psychology at Emory University in 2012, Kevin went on to complete an NSF-funded postdoctoral fellowship in Cognitive Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the Colorado College faculty in fall 2014.

Kevin’s research investigates the structure of human thought, focusing on the contributions of language and space. Past and current projects have examined the conceptual organization of objects, spatial relations, color, time, number, and non-numerical magnitude. Kevin is particularly interested in the extent to which the structure of the mind is reflected in, and affected by, language.
