Fall Open House

Monday, September 14th, 2009 or October 12th, 2009

Experience CC! Discover the uniqueness of a liberal arts and sciences education from CC faculty. Get the real scoop on campus life firsthand from CC students. Prospective seniors and parents are invited to join the Colorado College community for a day of activities on Monday, September 14 or October 12.

Please note that the event is only available to seniors and their parents.

Registration is now closed.

A limited number of interviews will be conducted by trained students and alumni interviewers on Sunday and Monday. We will make every effort to schedule you in the slot you request. However, if this is not possible, we will schedule your interview as close as possible to your requested time. Your confirmation letter will include your exact time.

Ample parking will be available. View our parking map and directions.

If you cannot attend one of our Fall Open Houses, plan a visit to campus some other time. Visitors are encouraged to refer to our daily visit schedule to learn more about our offerings. Please contact us with at least two weeks notice for the best opportunity to visit a class and have an overnight stay.

Tentative Schedule of Events (Updated: 8/27/09)

7:30-8:45 Registration - Worner Campus Center (#5 on campus map)
A hot breakfast will be available beginning at 7:30 a.m.
9:00-10:45 Class visits for students - Various academic locations
Meet no later than 8:45. CC students will escort you to class. Students will be assigned a class based upon the division (Humanities, Social Science, Science, Foreign Language, Art, etc.) that they indicate when they register. Some students may be placed in a mock class depending upon class visit availability.
9:00-10:45 Program for Parents
The sessions will run from 9:00-9:45 and 10:00-10:45.
  • Student Learning Services and Residential Life - Gaylord Hall, Worner Campus Center
  • The Block Plan - Studio B, Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center (#80 on campus map)
11:00-11:45 Information Sessions
The following sessions will run concurrently. However, "Tips on Applying to CC" will repeat again from 4:30-5:00.
  • Tips on Applying to CC - Gaylord Hall, Worner Campus Center
  • Financial Aid - Studio B, Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center (#80 on campus map)
12:00-1:15 Lunch and Address by President Celeste - El Pomar Sports Center (#7 on campus map)
The President will welcome you and highlight the Colorado College experience.
1:30-2:15

Athletics Meet & Greet - El Pomar Sports Center Main Lobby (#7 on campus map)
Socialize with intercollegiate coaches and team members. If you are interested in meeting a specific coach, feel free to email the coaches directly in advance. Coach contact information can be found online at: http://www.cctigers.com/

1:30-3:15 Information Panels
Each panel will run from 1:30-2:15 and 2:30-3:15.
  • ONLY SEPT 14TH: Boettcher Foundation presents: Molly Smith, Scholarship Program Coordinator. "Tips and Tricks to Ace your College and Scholarship Applications!"
