What are the application deadlines?
Early Action: November 15
Early Decision I: November 15
Early Decision II: January 1
Regular Action: January 15

What is the difference between early action and early decision? Early action is non-binding; if a student is admitted they still have the choice to attend CC. Early decision is binding; if a student is admitted, they sign a contract stating they will withdraw their applications from other schools and come to CC. Students apply early if they can articulate that CC is a top choice and they feel confident in their grades through their junior year, as we will not see many grades from their senior year. We can admit, deny or defer a decision from any deadline

Why are there two Early Decision deadlines? Why would I choose one over the other? If a student feels their high school transcript is strong through their junior year, they may prefer to apply Early Decision I. If a student would prefer the Admission committee see the first semester of their senior year, they may prefer Early Decision II.

Is CC a party school? We’ve had negative publicity about this in the Princeton review. The reality is that 64% of CC students have one or fewer alcoholic drinks per week. Alcohol and drugs are on any college campus. Students are expected to act like adults – self-governance philosophy - and the college steps in when they prove otherwise.

How safe is Colorado College? We have campus safety on duty 24 hours, 7 days a week. They are located in the heart of our new residence facilities. Each campus security guard patrols a specific area so that he or she may get to know the residents. We also offer an escort service students may call.

What is the average class size? Beginning in the first year, all classes are capped at 25, average size is 13 students. However, if team-taught by two professors, the class size can accommodate 32.
