Mission
Alumni sharing the unique Colorado
College adventure throughout their lives,
wherever they may be.
Members
Members of the Alumni Association Board are alumni who have demonstrated
their leadership skills in various volunteer capacities for the college
such as alumni
admission representatives, career
volunteers, fundraisers, events
volunteers (alumni club program) and reunion planners. They meet twice
a year, at Homecoming in the fall and at the Alumni Leadership Forum in
the spring. New members are elected by the Alumni Board to a four-year
term (not to exceed three consecutive terms).
Committees
Members of the Association Board are appointed to staggered 4-year terms
and serve on at least one committee. Current committees are: Admission,
Student Life, Development, Alumni Engagement, Nominations/Awards and Forum.
Awards
One of the most important functions of the Board is to recognize the contributions
of distinguished alumni, faculty members and members of the CC community
to the betterment of society and to the enhancement of the College and
its mission. The Alumni Association Board acknowledges these alumni and
staff members through three awards given at Homecoming. Submit
a nomination.
Student Leader Scholarship
The board seeks to recognize the efforts of student leaders by offering
a loan-reducing scholarship to eligible students. The AAB is cognizant
of the fact that very often active student on campus become leaders in
the alumni association as well. The intent of this scholarship is to encourage
students to continue their involvement with CC after graduation through
such activities as: attending regional alumni events; recruiting prospective
students; being a member of, and even using, the career referral network;
and financially supporting the college.
