Confidentiality: Legal Issues for Clergy + Religious Leaders

Description

Donald C. Clark, General Counsel for the United Church of Christ and former Chair of the Board of Trustees for Chicago Theological Seminary, will lead us in exploring this topic of vital importance to both clergy, leaders of other religious organizations and everyone interested in issues of confidentiality:

  • How do we discern the difference between a secret, a confidence, 
and privileged communication?
  • What are the legal and ecclesiastical principles governing confidentiality?
  • What information are we required to share?

*An ecumenical group of Colorado clergy and laity affiliated with Ministry Mentors, a national organization based in Chicago, Illinois.
