Student Alumni Association

The Colorado College Student Alumni Association, sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, acts as a liaison between students and alumni. Its main purpose is to stimulate the interest and participation of all students in the life of Colorado College.

The mission of the Student Alumni Association (S/AA) is to encourage current students to participate in the CC community, act as a liaison between students and alumni, and provide enriching opportunities for students to meet and cultivate relationships within the CC community.  S/AA members educate and raise awareness among current students about the importance of giving back to CC, and promote an increase in overall student donations and participation.  They strive to further engage students in the workings of the college while at CC so they can recognize their lifetime relationship to the college.

Alumni were students and students will be alumni. The members of S/AA strive to further involve students in the workings of the college while at CC so they can recognize their lifetime relationship to the college.

Membership
We want you to be a part of S/AA! Membership in S/AA is open to any interested Colorado College student. Members of the Colorado College Student Alumni Association have the opportunity to become leaders on campus. Each year various positions need to be filled with responsible officers, but all involved have the opportunity to learn more about how Colorado College functions beyond their personal student life experience. S/AA involves the entire Colorado College community, consistently educating its members about something they are part of for the rest of their lives.

Activities
The AppreCCiate Scholarship- The NEWEST addition to the S/AA program is the AppreCCiate Scholarship, a completely student funded scholarship for another student who otherwise would not be able to afford to come to CC. In conjunction with the Annual Fund, S/AA students raise awareness about the importance of student giving and raise funds for the new scholarship. AppreCCiate was created by the students for the students. Photo Gallery

Legacy Reception - S/AA kicks off the school year by hosting incoming first year and transfer students whose parents or grandparents attended Colorado College. Photo Gallery

Adopt a Student Program - S/AA works with the Colorado College Alumni Club to match interested first year students with sponsor hosts in Colorado Springs. These local volunteers are a valuable resource to many CC students and S/AA hosts both a fall picnic and a winter party for all involved.

Homecoming- S/AA plays a key role in planning and implementing a successful Homecoming Weekend in October including sponsoring "Helping HungeRR", a student community service event, TigerWalk, All-Campus Picnic, and decorating for the dance. Photo Gallery

New Faces - Each year, S/AA students edit a photograph composite book of the incoming first year class. These books provide tremendous CC memories!

Alumni Events and Speakers
- S/AA members attend local and regional alumni functions. We assist the Office of Alumni Relations with numerous events, including Fifty Year Club festivities and the Alumni Leadership Forum.
