Travel Resources

Students and Faculty are encouraged before making a decision about a certain international travel destination to check the US State Department website for travel advisories and warnings.

Colorado College guidelines for travel to a country with a US State Department travel warning:

A travel warning is issued by the US State Department when, based on relevant information, it decides that US Citizens due to safety risks should avoid travel to a specific country. Colorado College takes such travel warnings very seriously and should a student wish to apply for a study abroad program in a location with a travel warning, the College will evaluate the application on a case by case scenario and decide if it is advisable to participate.

Travel Review for CC sponsored International Travel :

If you are a student and traveling on a CC sponsored international trip (venture grant, service learning) you need to consult the Independent International Travel/Service brochure and complete the Travel Review Form .

We encourage all CC students, faculty and staff to register with the US Embassy in country. Most US embassies abroad offer easy online registration.

"As the world becomes more deeply connected, intercultural understanding becomes more and more important. Each of us is truly a citizen of the world, not just of our own country. Actively encouraging diversity and expanding students' global understanding is a valued part of the CC experience."
