Can parents get a copy of their students' transcript or grade report?

College students' records are protected by the Family Educational Right and Privacy Act (FERPA). It restricts institutions from releasing grades and other educational records without the student's written permission. Students may view their grades online through the student system, Self-Service Banner (SSB), after grades have been submitted and recorded by the registrar's office. Since the system is student-controlled, we encourage students to share grade information with their parents. Parents can view grades through the SSB system by knowing their student's ID number and passcode. Students can also make a written request for a transcript to be sent to parents from the registrar's office. Colorado College does not mail grade reports home, it is the student's responsibility to share grades with their parents.

What is the cost of a transcript?

You may receive 10 free transcripts each fiscal year; the charge for additional transcripts is $3 each. The registrar's office also offers overnight FedEx service for an additional $25 fee.

How do I request an official transcript?

Simply print, complete, sign, and fax our transcript request form.

How do I request an unofficial transcript?

Simply print, complete, sign, and fax our transcript request form. Write in the word "Unofficial" at the top of your request form.

How soon will my transcript be processed and mailed?

Generally, processing takes five business days. If your request is made today, your transcripts will be processed in the order it was received. For more information, go to the Transcript page

How do I change my academic advisor?

We have a form that you can complete and have signed by your current and previous advisors. The form is available online under "forms" or you may come in to our office for the form.

Who do I tell about my (my parent(s)) address change?

The Registrar's Office is the appropriate office to tell. We maintain records for all students. We have a form both online under "forms" or in our office that you can complete and submit to us to indicate address changes.

Where can I get proof of enrollment (or degree)?

The Registrar's Office can print an official letter to state that you are a full-time student, when you plan to graduate, grade point average, or other enrollment information as needed by your health insurance company, auto insurance company, or other entity. Simply print the verification of enrollment request form and send it to us, or come to the Registrar's office to complete the request form.
