Meal Plans

All students who reside in on-campus housing other than apartments are required to be on a regular meal plan to promote the social experiences surrounding dining together as part of the residential experience as well as due to the lack of adequate kitchen space to accommodate all of the residents living in a particular area. Students who live in the apartments, Synergy House, Interfaith House, and off campus housing may purchase a commuter meal plan. Students on the meal plan and who are gone from campus for a block or more may contact the Student Life Office in Armstrong Hall for information about meal plan rebates. For all other questions about the meal plan contact Dining Services in Ticknor Hall.

All students are encouraged to give feedback about their specific needs and the meal plan to the Bon Appétit staff. “Pack-out” meals “to go” meals are available with advance notice for religious observances such as Ramadan or for groups of students going on weekend trips. In rare occasions, due to religious or medical conditions that cannot be accommodated through the meal plan, exemptions may be granted. Applications for this process must be completed by the end of the first block of each semester, so students who feel their situation may warrant this should contact dining services during the first week of class to learn about this process.  Students choose a meal plan at the beginning of the semester and may change their meal plan within the first two weeks of the semester. After that time, students may only switch to a higher value meal plan. Students who do not select a meal plan will be automatically enrolled in the “B” plan.
