My name is Lauren Jenkins, and I am a Junior from Laramie, Wyoming. I am majoring in Sociology and am interested in how society can both create and fix the problems the world faces today. I participate in many service organizations at Colorado College, including Saturdays of Service, New Student Orientation, and the Student Venture Partnership. I believe it so important to be involved in my community (especially as a college student), both locally, and internationally. I am really excited to go to India because I feel there is so much I can learn from an experience like this in terms of understanding other cultures as well as the current state of our world. Besides service and travelling, I enjoy snowboarding, scuba diving, waterskiing, hiking, yoga, and napping. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and if I had a superpower, it would be x-ray hearing.
