Boettcher Health Center provides students with urgent medical evaluation and treatment for acute illness, injury, and mental health concerns. In addition to urgent care, the health center offers a variety of wellness services. A physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner provides daily coverage throughout the week by appointment. True emergencies are seen immediately. A registered nurse, who is able to treat many minor illnesses and injuries, is on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, during the academic year. An overnight infirmary is available for ill or convalescing patients. Counselors are available by appointment for mental health issues throughout the week and on-call for after hour emergencies. Gynecological nurse practitioners are available by appointment for wellness examinations or to assist with women's health issues. All currently enrolled students will be treated at the health center regardless of the type of health insurance coverage they have. A small fee is charged for office visits; discounted fees are charged for laboratory services, well physicals, and other special services. All fees may be charged to the student's account with the Business Office. No student will be denied care because of financial hardship.
ACCREDITATION: Boettcher Health Center is fully accredited
by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care. This means
our health center has been inspected and evaluated by a national independent
organization and found to have met rigorous, nationally recognized
standards for the highest quality health care services.
