Hello! My name is Vikki Crystal. I recently graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology! For my senior thesis, I did isotope analysis of hadrosaur (duck-billed dinosaur) teeth from Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Utah, in order to learn more about hadrosaur behavior and the environment in which they were living. Aside from geology and dinosaurs, I am passionate about education and inspiring children. As a certified environmental educator, I enjoy teaching in a variety of settings, from the classroom to the outdoors! In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, knitting and reading.
I graduated from Colorado College in 2014 as a Geology major and Spanish minor. I spent a couple blocks my junior and senior years researching the local Colorado Springs stratigraphy of Jurassic and Triassic time and the associated palynoflora. Second semester during my junior year I studied abroad in Valparaíso, Chile and got to travel all around Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay during my time there. In addition to traveling, I love being outside whether it is backpacking, snowboarding, biking, or lounging. I also really love to bake (and eat).
