The QuestBridge Application
About our Partnership with QuestBridge
Beginning in 2013, Colorado College has partnered with QuestBridge - a non-profit organization that matches high-achieving, underserved students with opportunities in higher education. Colorado College participates in National College Match and will enroll a number of QuestBridge students, some through match and others through Colorado College's own admission processes.
Unlike the Coalition and Common Applications, the QuestBridge Application is administered through a third-party organization and only students who have matriculated up through their process may apply using the QuestBridge Application. But like the other methods of application, students applying through QuestBridge must submit the Supplemental Essays, which they can do here.
QuestBridge manages its own application process that begins in the late-summer before a student's senior year. Students selected by QuestBridge and matched with Colorado College receive comprehensive, four-year financial aid packages. These packages do not contain student loans.
QuestBridge students who do not participate in the match process with Colorado College are still encouraged to have their applications forwarded to Colorado College. Non-matched students can apply to Colorado College through Early Action, Early Decision 1 or 2, or Regular Decision.
In addition to the QuestBridge application, you should complete the QuestBridge Supplement. If not included in your QuestBridge application packet, please submit an official updated transcript with your most recent grades, official test scores and guidance counselor or teacher recommendations. You should also submit your mid-year grades when they become available.
Official copies of these documents can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
QuestBridge Application versus the Common Application
Colorado College does not prefer one application over the other. The Office of Admission will review the QuestBridge application for Match Finalists, Match Finalist Non-Participants, and QuestBridge Match Non-Finalists. You do not need to submit the Common Application in order to apply to Colorado College. However, your application will not be considered complete without Colorado College's QuestBridge Supplement. Please follow the instructions on the Colorado College partner page via the QuestBridge website to complete your application to Colorado College.
Colorado College waives the application fee for QuestBridge finalists and non-finalists alike. If you apply using the Common Application, check the box indicating that you will apply using a fee waiver. Our staff will identify you as a QuestBridge finalist.
Standardized Test Score Requirement
We require that applicants submit either the SAT, the ACT, or opt into our flexible testing policy which will require three exam components including one quantitative test, one verbal or writing test, and a third test of the your choice. Discover more about our testing policies and applicable exams on our Testing page.
Application Process for Non-Matched Students
If you do not match, the easiest way to complete the application process is through the QuestBridge application forwarding process to pass your application materials to us.
If you are interested in applying Early Action or Early Decision 2, you can notify us on Colorado College's QuestBridge Supplement. The deadline for applying either Early Decision 2 (a binding process that requires an ED Agreement) or Regular Decision is January 15.
If you are a finalist who ranked Colorado College and do not match with any institution, you may apply Early Action or Early Decision I by notifying us, in writing, by December 8th. If you are interested in applying Early Decision 2 (a binding process that requires an ED Agreement), you must notify us by January 15. All QuestBridge finalists who rank CC but do not match with us or another institution will automatically be considered in our Regular Decision round. Finalists who do not rank Colorado College and do not match with another institution must notify us, in writing, of their interest in being considered for admission and should have their application forwarded to Colorado College.
Financial Aid Availability for Non-Matched Students
Colorado College is also committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need of all admitted students, and does so with grants, student employment, and a student loan. In order to be considered for financial aid at Colorado College, you should complete the CSS/PROFILE and the FAFSA.
