The second talk in the Economics and Business Department 2013-14 Seminar Series will be presented by Ayfer Ali, Assistant Professor in the Business Economics Department of Universidad
Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Dr. Ali holds a BA from Harvard University and a joint PhD from Harvard University and Harvard Business School, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Strategy and Innovation Department of the Boston University School of Management. She is interested in the economics of innovation, particularly the translation of basic research into commercial products. She will discuss: “BuyerBehavior in Markets for (Medical) Technology.” Markets for technology promise to increase productivity by better allocating innovative capacity across firms. This talk is free and open to the public.
