What are Reserves?
Materials which a professor has identified as being important to his/her course. They may include supplemental information such as tests or quiz files, homework, class notes, solution sets, or textbooks. Course reserves may also include required readings.
Where Are Reserves?
Items placed on reserve for classes are available at the Tutt Circulation Desk or the Music Library Circulation Desk.
Who May Borrow?
Only CC students may check out reserves.
Reserve items may be searched here by faculty name and by course name.
Students may check out one reserve item at a time. Reserve items check out for 3 hours and must remain in the library. Exceptions to this policy must be made by the professor.
A course reserve item may be checked out overnight one hour before the library closes. Overnight loans are due when the library opens the next morning at 9:00 a.m. Reserve videos/DVDs do not have an overnight checkout. Reserve videos/DVD’s must be watched in the library.
Reserve materials must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
Overdues and Fines
- $5.00 per hour for each overdue reserve item and immediate block of all circulation privileges.
You are responsible for the timely return of all materials, whether or not you receive any reminder or overdue notices from the library. The library may notify your professor of any abuses of reserve policies.
